40 MW LNG Fuel Terminal Project Launch
The Antigua Power Company Maintenance and Operations Limited – APCMOL, Antigua Public Utilities Authority – APUA, and Eagle LNG hosted the launch of the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Fuel Terminal Project in the Eastern Caribbean on Tuesday July 27th, 2021 at the Crabbs Peninsula.
Dignitaries from Antigua and Barbuda and the United States of America, representatives from APUA, ACPMOL and Eagle LNG, specially invited guests and members of the media gathered to mark this special moment in the history of Antigua and Barbuda and the Eastern Caribbean.
The LNG Fuel Terminal will power a 40 MW LNG Power Plant in Antigua that will provide an additional supply of power to the electrical grid. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
